1. Who we are

This site is part of the Serendipiware project. Serendipiware acts as the data controller for information collected through claire.im.

2. What we collect

• Chat interactions. Messages you send are processed to generate responses. Please avoid sharing sensitive information.
• Contact details. If you join the alpha waitlist or support us (e.g., via Ko-fi), we collect your email and optionally your name to notify you and manage your support.
• Usage data. Our servers may log IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps and similar technical data for security and analytics.
• Payment data. Payments are handled by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal via Ko-fi). We do not receive your full card number.
• Direct messages. If you email or use a contact form, we receive the details you provide.

3. Why we use your data (legal bases)

• Consent — for waitlist emails and non-essential cookies.
• Legitimate interest — to improve and secure our services.
• Legal obligation — where laws require retention or disclosure.

4. Cookies & similar tech

We use a minimal set of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working; analytics cookies help us understand usage (see the Cookie Policy below). You can opt out of non-essential cookies.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share limited data with trusted providers solely to operate our services:

• Hosting and infrastructure services.
• Privacy-friendly analytics providers.
• Payment platforms (e.g., Ko-fi/Stripe) for support payments.
• Form providers (e.g., Typeform) for the waitlist.

These providers are required to process data securely and only as instructed.

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Security logs may be kept temporarily for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

• Restriction or objection to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect prior processing).
• EU/UK residents can lodge a complaint with their data protection authority.

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No system is 100% secure; please be cautious about sharing sensitive information.

claire.im is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us to remove it.
